IT-RBS will protect your data files offsite securely and have them available to you remotely when you need them, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is an excellent online data backup disaster prevention service and storage solution. Your data is first encrypted and then transmitted via the internet to two geographically separated (by 65 miles) and secure data centers so multiple copies of all your files are stored securely at two locations at all times. When comparing our service to our competitors, make sure to ask them if they have two bona-fide mirrored data centers and what would happen if one of them should unexpectedly go down.
Our online computer backups are automatic and they only take a few minutes a day. Never again will you have to rely on your employees or yourself to actually perform on site data backups every night and then physically take file backups offsite. Our advanced online data backup service even works with 56K dial-up modems.
Your files are secured with 128-Bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) before it leaves your location, and it cannot be accessed by anyone without your personalized encryption phrase. You must keep your encryption phrase in a safe and secure location at all times because we cannot help you if you lose it (i.e. there is no “reset” key).
Setup is Quick and Easy!
Simply go to www.it-rbs.com, choose the appropriate internet data backup package and download the 30-day free trial demo to backup your data online.
After you have downloaded the *setup*.exe file (example: rdbsetup10GB.exe), double click on it, and simply follow the on-screen instructions and install the web backup agent on your computer. We recommend you simply click “Next” or the default selection for most setups (even if you have a firewall click “Next”).
In just a few minutes, you will be ready for your first online data backup. Depending on your Internet connection, this initial web backup can take some time (even days if you are using a slow dialup connection). We suggest that you run your first online data backup over the weekend if you have a slow internet connection. Once this initial online data backup is done, it will not have to be done again, and daily online data backups should only take a few minutes each day. You can still use your computer while the web backup is in progress, just as long as the files you are trying to access aren’t in the process of being backed up. You can even check your email and surf the Internet if you need to, but it will obviously download at a slower speed. If you become disconnected, the software will begin where it left off.
Once the first online backup is done, daily web backups should only take a few minutes. If your Internet Pro/vider allows 3rd party programs to access the Internet, your data backups should happen automatically every night by default. (AOL and MSN are examples of ISP’s that will not allow software to initiate an Internet connection. The user has to initiate the connection manually and also start |
